For more than 35 years I have been fascinated with photographing the natural world. To "see" a photograph in my mind and to bring it to life in a meaningful way is always a thrill. I have been working for 30 years as a medical photographer in both still photography and videography.

I have been very fortunate to have begun this journey learning the craft of film/darkroom processes. This taught me how to manipulate my film development to make the optimum negative for creating a fine B&W print. Being able to create fine prints in the darkroom is a skill that translates well to digital photography. The tools may be different but the final product is what matters. I have been exploring the world of color as well as B&W since I started working with digital cameras and am finding satisfaction in both.

I have had the priviledge of learning my craft under the guidance of excellent teachers Fred Picker and John Sexton. Studying photographs by great photographers in galleries, museums and books has helped me immensely on my photographic journey. The endless possibilites of digital photography and the digital "light" room are always challenging.

I am currently working with Nikon D200 and D300 digital SLR's and have been working with a 4x5 view camera for many years. I scan my 4x5 negatives and print them digitally. I am currently making all my prints using an Epson R2400 printer.

I am making 12x18 inch prints, matted on acid free rag board for a finished size of 20x24 inches. Signed prints are available for $175. I will also make smaller sized signed prints, matted on 14x18 inch acid free rag board for $125.00. Unmounted signed prints are also available, which simplifies the shipping process.
